An Outstanding Cultural Hub

Internationally-renowned for the quality of their productions, the Regional Opera of Lorraine, National Ballet of Nancy and National Theatre Arts Centre form an outstanding cultural hub.

Greater Nancy is equipped with major stages such as the Zenith (6,000 indoor seats and 25,000 outdoors, making it unique in France), the majestic Poirel Auditorium, or smaller halls, such as the Austrasique, the Vertigo or the Forum.
For theatrical arts, the place of choice is the Grand Theatre on Place Stanislas, or theatres such as La Manufacture, La Cuvette, La Foucotte or Cauveau de la Roële. And for aficionados of the big screen, Greater Nancy is home to 6 cinemas, including 2 multiplexes and art house cinemas (8,444 seats).

The Regional Centre for the Music of Today (CRMA) is currently being built. Extending over 2,500 m², it will be equipped with 2 concert halls (a 1,200-seater and a 300-seater), several rehearsal studios, a recording studio, a sound and image multimedia room, a resource centre, dressing rooms and facilities for associations and offices. A place fostering creativity, it will support and back the plans of associations and individuals. To open in 2007.
