With a very high-speed network extending 8,000 km in optic fibres (2.5 gigabits, or 44 000 times more than a modem), the Greater Nancy's companies are equipped with a powerful and modern technological tool.

Unbundling: already a reality in Nancy !
Nancy was the 4th city in France to become unbundled, after Paris, Lyons and Marseilles. The unbundling makes it possible to attain speeds exceeding traditional offerings (2 megabits/second) and offer ancillary services, such as Voice over IP and TV on DSL.
Many players, like 9 Cegetel or Free are already operating in Nancy and offer alternatives to France Telecom. The opportunities for unbundling and infrastructure rental make it possible for new operators to lower the implementation costs of new services. Competition, competitive rates and a varied offer combine so that Nancy's end-users and companies can enjoy the best-quality services at the best prices.
The Mediapark
This future technological hub, spanning 3,700 m2, will bring together a variety of companies and stores specialised in new information and telecommunications technologies, offering them premises specially-suited to their operations (high-speed connections, modular office space, etc.). The Mediapark will also house an area dedicated to post-incubation companies. Their rent will be 25% lower than market prices. This far-reaching project will make it possible for Nancy to take up several challenges for the future:
